Understanding the Test Setup
- Computer adaptive

- Begins with median difficult section

- Can only come back to questions on the GRE
- Do your best to answer all questions but NOT leave questions blank
- Be strategic about which questions you spend time on
- Allot the same amount of time for a question at the beginning of the test as well as the end of the test

Timing
- GMAT Quant
- 2 minutes per problem (problem solving)
- 1:45 minutes for data sufficiency problems
- GRE Quant
- 1:45 per problem
- 1:30 for quantitative comparison problems
- It's okay to go a little bit over the time limit sometimes
- Get the fundamentals down and then do timed drills to get a sense of how you're doing
Quant Strategies
- Read carefully
- Identify what is being asked
- Identify concept or concepts being tested
- Look for clues
- Simplify
- Difficulty assessment
- Give yourself a fair amount of time to determine difficulty, and whether to attempt it
- Choose your strategies
