One of the things I learned when applying to both undergraduate and graduate programs is that it’s not enough to simply strive for good grades and a good test score.  Sure, the entire college application process is very competitive, so you should aim for the best possible grades and highest possible tests scores, not just something that’s above average.  But, that’s not what I mean exactly.

Driven by direct demand from Ogden Elementary school parents, MyGuru is proud to announce a summer tutoring program for grades 1-3 in the near north area of Chicago.   Although MyGuru typically begins working with students at the high school level (and then continues on through college and beyond, helping with all standardized tests along the way), we have a variety of highly qualified tutors who are educated, trained, and certified to work with much younger students as well.

MyGuru is excited to announce that during 2011, a year that saw us work with 4 to 5 times more students than we worked with in 2010, no customer complaints were filed with the Better Business Bureau.  Now, that's not to say everyone student/tutor relationship worked perfectly; that's not the case.  However, when there wasn't a great fit, we fulfilled our promise to find a different tutor option, provide a refund, or refund unused tutoring hours.
