MyGuru recently came across a site with a healthy dose of information about a wide range of business school topics. It includes everything from study tips, to lists of top business schools, to an online glossary of business terms. The site appears to be designed to lead students to consider an online MBA, which we at MyGuru caution against given the high cost and questionable market value compared to top tier traditional programs. However, in the right situation, an online MBA can make sense for some students, and so given the other information on this site, we’re happy to post a link to it (which we’ve done in the above text). Enjoy.

The below video, though relatively longwinded, provides some simple, easy to understand advice about studying for the GMAT.  We'd prefer if he didn't reference several other GMAT prep options, though because they're not Chicago-based, we have no problem posting on our site.

We at MyGuru believe a majority of students do themselves a disservice when they choose to enroll in a typical group GMAT class from a major test prep firm.  Our experience in prepping for the GMAT (and subsequently attending the Kellogg School of Management), suggests self-study, supplemented by a private 1-1 tutor if necessary, may be a more effective approach.  So, we've structured a solution that relies on "off the shelf" test prep materials available for a very low cost from GMAC and 15 hours of focused, 1-1 help from an expert tutor.
