Our Approach to GRE Tutoring

We believe that group GRE classes provide little beyond what's found in self-study materials with instructors teaching from the text, self-paced courses lack the ability to deliver a customized explanation or study plan, and that in general 1-on-1 tutoring provides a superior method of instruction. Our online GRE tutoring leverages the Official Guide to the GRE Revised General Test and is delivered by GRE tutors with > 95th percentile GRE scores and 5+ years of GRE tutoring experience. We use official practice tests to track progress and follow a GRE tutoring process that is tailored to every student. We begin with a diagnostic session to help create a manageable study plan that includes a customized curriculum that builds upon each student's strengths and weaknesses

Pricing

Our base rate for online GRE tutoring is typically $99 and GRE Prep Club members receive a 10% discount off this base rate ($89.10). We then offer discounts beyond this base rate for packages of 10, 20, or 40 hours (which can exceed 15%). Typical hourly rates for comparable one-on-one GRE prep can run well above $200 per hour at other test prep companies.

How Studying Online for the GRE Works

We have a deep understanding of the online test prep market and believe our approach provides a more effective and intuitive experience than anything else, regardless of price. After each session our students get two texts to review - The Official Guide and a digital copy of that day's whiteboard filled with notes and tips specifically tailored for them to refer to forever. Online GRE tutoring requires nothing beyond a laptop, internet, and scratch paper (just like the GRE!), so computer-based tutoring builds good habits for test day such as writing down process of elimination outlines and taking good notes for reading comprehension rather than simply annotating the text on a physical ETS Official Guide book. 

Using a laptop with eBook materials eliminates the need to carry pounds of heavy books every time you want to study, which allows you to review content or even have a session anywhere you bring your laptop bag
